My child is 2/my baby is 12 months, which class should I register them in? Our classes are developmental, and as such we like to keep children who are around the same developmental level together. Our classes are divided into 6mo-12mo, 1 and 2 yo and 2 and 3 yo. If your child is 12 months old and is not yet walking, I suggest booking in the Baby and Me class. If your child is under 2.5 years old, has never come to a Story Fun Time class before, doesn’t have a lot of experience painting and/or is not yet verbal, I suggest booking a spot in the 1 and 2 year old class. Ultimately, the class you register for is up to your own discretion and you are welcome in any class you feel is a fit. Please reach out to Meryl at meryl@rompandrollick.com if you want more guidance on which class is best.

Do I have to be vaccinated to attend your class? Yes. We will be checking proof of vaccination before your first class with us. If you have an official exemption, you can show a negative test result within 72 hours of visit. We won’t be able to accept COVID home test results; they must come from a clinic or facility running PCR tests.

Will my child have to wear a mask? Children over 2 are recommended to try to wear a mask at all times. I know it can be difficult to get a young child to adhere to this, so we ask that we all try to encourage it.

Will I have to wear a mask? Adults must follow all mask mandates for outdoor events set by the Pasadena Health Department. We reserve the right to add a mask requirement in addition to any local mask mandates.

What are your COVID-19 policies? Our full COVID-19 policies can be read here.

What is your sick policy? It’s important that we all take precautions so that our children stay safe and healthy. Here are some things to note if you are trying to decide whether to attend class or stay home. If you or your child has; a runny nose, fever within 7 days, vomiting or diarrhea within 48 hours, cough, contagious rash or any other illness, please stay home and rest instead of coming to class. If anyone in your home has been exposed to COVID-19, or is currently sick with COVID-19, please stay home and follow CDC guidelines regarding quarantining. Please notify us if you can’t make it to class as a courtesy.

What is your cancelation policy? Please see our full cancelation policy here

How many children and adults are in each class? We cap our classes at 12 students and we allow up to 2 children per adult. There are many reasons for this, but most importantly, this is so each child has supervision at all times and to keep the class small and cozy. Up to 2 adults can accompany each child.

Can I bring my baby or a sibling with me? All children between 9 months-5 years old at the start of the quarter must be registered. Babies under 9 months are free of charge. We allow up to 2 children per adult. There are many reasons for this, but most importantly, this is so each child has supervision at all times and to keep the class small and cozy. Please notify us if you would like to bring a vaccinated school-aged sibling.

Where is the class located? Our shady and secure backyard in Northern Pasadena. Address will be provided upon registration.

What happened to the drop-in option? As part of our Covid safety measures we decided it was best to eliminate the drop-in option for our full quarter classes. The class you register for will be comprised of a stable cohort, meaning you will play with the same families every week. This decreases the exposure to different households. Our classes are a perfect choice for a COVID-safe household that believes that their child needs regular interaction with their peers. We kept the price as low as possible knowing some families would not be able to attend every single class and would want to reserve their spot for when they can attend. We will be offering 1 drop-in per quarter throughout the year for families that can’t make the commitment to a full quarter.

What time should I arrive for class? Plan to arrive a few minutes ahead of the start of Story Fun Time, as we begin promptly.

Will we still have class if it’s raining? Yes! We have a rainy day plan that takes advantage of the wet weather and is lots of fun! If there is ever lightning or other dangerous weather conditions, I will send an email to let everyone know class is canceled and we will provide a credit of the pro-rated value of the class(es) which can be used toward a future booking.

Can I make-up a class that I have to miss for illness or personal reasons? Romp & Rollick will not provide any credits, refunds, or make-up classes for any classes that you have to miss due to illness or other personal reasons. Please contact us to discuss your personal circumstances.
